Viña Progreso

Viña Progreso, made by a brilliant young winemaker called Gabriel Pisano, a member of the famous Pisano wine family who has decided to go off and do his own thing in very much his own way. As well as his natural family ties with wine, Gabriel has winemaking experience in South Africa, California and Chile and, perhaps most significantly, at Mas Doix in Priorat. It was here that he was inspired to create a wine in Priorat’s traditional open barrel style, from Tannat of course, and it is nothing short of sensational! The label, inspired by the bizarre dreams of his aunt Elisa - and illustrated by the same lady - is almost as wild and exciting as the wine itself, so full of energy and expression.

Vina Progreso Sangiovese 2017

Made by a brilliant young winemaker Gabriel Pisano with winemaking experience in South Africa, California, Chile and at Mas Doix in Priorat. The label is inspired by the bizarre dreams of his aunt Elisa who also illustrates and is almost as wild and exciting as the wine itself, so full of energy and expression. It's seductive and intense red colour with violet reflections. The concentrated aroma resembling cherry, strawberry, with a faintly floral violet character is complemented with light oak, vanilla and thyme. There is great density in the mouth, plus extra-long and ripe flavours of cherry, plum, strawberry, cinnamon and vanilla. Its strong and persistent, but balanced and would go well with pasta, pizza, stews, red meat or aged cheeses. 13% and Vegan.
