Rickety Bridge Chenin Blanc 2019

Producer: Rickety Bridge
The estate nestles against the slopes of the Franschhoek Mountains, close to the Franschhoek River that the old rickety bridge used to cross and is led by the young winemaker, Mari Kotze. This Very slightly wooded Chenin has inviting aromas of pineapple, stone fruit and lime blossom with underlying floral notes. A full, rich palate of citrus and spice leads into a long fresh honeyed finish. This is very well made, not tto sweet and a great mouthfeel due to the oak. Great on its own or with freshly made sushi, meze dishes or dim sum. 13% and Sustainable methods

Rectoral do Umia Calazul Albarińo 2019

From a collection of growers in the Rías Baixas area where Albarińo thrives, comes this delightful wine that has bright zesty tropical fruit and gooseberry aromas with a citrus core supported by a lime and mineral structure. Soft citrus and a little peach appear on a well-rounded palate. Crisp green apple flavours alongside fresh lemon and an underlying hint of chalky minerality leading to a tangy finish with fantastic acidity. This is perfect when sitting in the sun with friends or enjoying with fresh fish. 12.5% and Vegan

Chono Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

Named after the indigenous Chono tribe, who were described by Darwin as ‘one of the bravest native tribes’, they were well known for having a passion for life and for nature. Chono wines are carefully selected, single vineyard varietals from some unique terroirs in Chile with the aim of producing wines which focus on quality over quantity. The influence of the Ocean provides perfect conditions for a fresh and aromatic Pinot Noir with great character. This wine shows an intense and fresh nose of red fruits, enriched with spicy notes. On the palate, it is medium bodied with notes of red cherries, sweet spices and a slight bitter chocolate note on the finish. A quality wine which goes well with moussaka or lasagne. 13.5% and Sustainable, Vegan.

Domaine de la Croix Senaillet Saint-Veran 2018

La Croix Senaillet is run by the meticulous and hardworking Richard Martin. His attention to detail really pays off, most importantly because he can lay claim to the fact that this is a particularly strong Domaine in an area with a good selection of organic growers. This Chardonnay was organically grown in Saint-Véran on limestone and clay soils. It was carefully crafted resulting in a style that is classic of the appellation. Citrus notes, fleshy fruit and floral aromas lead to a beautifully balanced palate with an abundance of fresh fruit and impressive minerality. A stunning wine as an aperitif or with pan-seared fish, seafood and mushrooms. 13% and Organic, Vegan.

Domaine Jean Michel Dupre Beaujolais Villages 'Vignes de 1940' 2018

The most favourable vineyard sites produce `villages` wines, and the 10 named `Cru` villages of Beaujolais represent the best vineyards of the region and produce the longest-lived and fullest style of Beaujolais. This wine comes from the `Tour Bourdon` plot; an 11 acre vineyard with sandy soils and vines which were planted in 1940. Dark ruby in colour with notes of sweet blackcurrants on the nose. The palate has fresh black cherry and berries with a mineral character on the finish. A great Beaujolais and great value for money. Enjoy most with charcuterie or creamy, soft cheeses. 12% and Organic methods, Vegan.
