Musita

Situated in western Sicily in the hilly territory of Salemi, Musita comprises of 50ha of vineyards at an altitude of 500 metres. Family run for five generations, Don Ignazio Ardagna planted the first vineyard on the slopes of Musita. The winery was handed down through the generations and today Carmela Ardagna is the winemaker. The winery was built in the 1970`s on the same hill and boasts state of the art equipment to create high quality wines using a mixture of traditional and international grape varieties. The name Musita stems from the name of an ancient mosque (one of the most prominent in Sicily at the time) which was located in the area.

Musita Catarratto 2019

This is a 5th generation winery which is situated in western Sicily in the hilly territory of Salemi. The name Musita stems from the name of an ancient mosque (one of the most prominent in Sicily at the time) which was located in the area. This Organic Catarratto, one of Sicily's indigenous grape varieties, is bright lemon in colour with grapefruit and blossom on the nose. The palate is fresh with a zesty with citrus acidity and notes of white peach, green apple, pear and a slight smoky undertone. Perfect with fresh seafood or spaghetti marinara. 13.5% and Organic, Vegan.

Musita Nero d`Avola 2018

This is a 5th generation winery which is situated in western Sicily in the hilly territory of Salemi. The name Musita stems from the name of an ancient mosque (one of the most prominent in Sicily at the time) which was located in the area. Nero d`Avola is the most important and widely planted red grape variety in Sicily. This organic version is a bright ruby in colour with notes of cherry and plum on the nose. The palate is soft and round with juicy dark fruits and a chocolate character on the finish. Great with BBQ meats or spicy pasta dishes. 13% and Organic, Vegan.
