Montecillo Rueda Verdejo 2019

Producer: Montecillo
Montecillo is the third oldest winery in Rioja but this wine comes from bush vines in the Rueda region. This Verdejo is expressive with great aromatic intensity and clear varietal personality, where aromas of freshly cut grass, apricot and lime stand out. Once aerated, a mineral note appears. On the palate, the fruit notes that appear on the nose return, in a wine that is enveloping, sweetly appetising and elegant. Is fresh has noticeable acidity with a glycerine texture and a deliciously long finish. I've tasted many Verdejo's but none a great as this. Drink alone with your parter or enjoy with pasta or rice dishes. 13% and Vegan.

Picture of Trastullo Primitivo 2020

Trastullo Primitivo 2020

Trastullo is an archaic Italian word that means something which gives you enjoyment. The front label is based on a work by French printmaker Jacques Callot who travelled through Italy in the early 17th Century recording his experiences as he went, particularly at the court of the Medici Family. The wine is made in Puglia and scores a massive 4.3 on Vivino which should tell you something.T his Primitivo is deep red in colour with fresh varietal aromas, such as blackberry and cherry, which develop and become more complex over time. The palate is well balanced between the soft tannins and gentle acidity. You won't find better for the price, anywhere! A great match for a wide selection of red meat dishes, including steak and venison. 14.5% and Organic.

Rickety Bridge Chardonnay 2019

The estate nestles against the slopes of the Franschhoek Mountains, close to the Franschhoek River that the old rickety bridge used to cross and is led by the young winemaker, Mari Kotze. This yummy Chardonnay is citrus with nutty nuances, hints of orange blossom and subtle oak spice on the nose. The palate is rich and structured with tropical fruit with hints of white flowers, caramel and minerality which linger on the long creamy finish. Easily enjoyed on its own or ideal with grilled chicken, pan fried salmon or risotto style dishes. 12% and Sustainable methods.

Musita Nero d`Avola 2018

This is a 5th generation winery which is situated in western Sicily in the hilly territory of Salemi. The name Musita stems from the name of an ancient mosque (one of the most prominent in Sicily at the time) which was located in the area. Nero d`Avola is the most important and widely planted red grape variety in Sicily. This organic version is a bright ruby in colour with notes of cherry and plum on the nose. The palate is soft and round with juicy dark fruits and a chocolate character on the finish. Great with BBQ meats or spicy pasta dishes. 13% and Organic, Vegan.

Domaine de Morin Langaran Picpoul de Pinet 2019

The Morin family purchased the vineyard estate in 1966 and have passed it down from father to daughter. Today, Caroline Morin is the vibrant, young winemaker producing wines of outstanding quality. This Picpoul is gentle and refreshing with aromas of bright zesty lime and grapefruit. It is oft, elegant and rich in texture. A hint of peach and delicate floral notes appear on the palate alongside crisp, vibrant acidity on the finish. This is a cracking summer wine and is there to be enjoyed "responsibly" with friends or the local speciality, Oysters. It also goes well with chicken or goat’s cheese. 12.5% and Sustainable methods.
