Gnarly Head Old Vine Zinfandel 2018

Producer: Gnarly Head
The Gnarly Head story started with the old trained vines of Zinfandel in the Lido, which are among the oldest in California. On a mission to make serious Zinfandel and Pinot Noir, the original Gnarly Head team journeyed to the Lodi where they found century-old vines and the ideal climate for growing exceptional grapes with warm summer days and cool night time breezes from the ocean. This Zin comes from some of the oldest in California. This has a core of jammy blackberry and black cherry flavours with hints of black pepper, balanced by complex oak toast. Enjoy with anything from the BBQ or rustic pizza. 14.5% and Sustainable methods.

Picture of Nugan Estate Dried Grape Shiraz 2016

Nugan Estate Dried Grape Shiraz 2016

A cracking Aussie Shiraz with a difference due to its Amarone style which gained a cult following in its homeland. The grapes are naturally dried prior to winemaking which reduces the moisture content by around 30%. The wine is matured in American and French barrels for 12 months. The nose is enticingly perfumed with red-currants, dried cherries and rose petals alongside notes of liquorice and cocoa which fills the palate with great complexity and depth. Rich dark chocolate and earthy tones support with a herbaceous back note. A peppery nuance provides lift whilst smoky black cherry flavours linger on a fruit-driven finish. Excellent with Osso Bucco but also with aged cheeses. 15% and Sustainable methods

Aniello 006 Malbec 2018

Bodegas Aniello comes from some of the most southerly vineyards in the world, and Argentina. The desert like conditions here allow for quasi-organic farming and as result fresh, elegant and beautifully concentrated wine. 30% of this wine is oak-aged for 12 months which helps create and attractive deep purple colour Malbec, with lovely aromas of black cherries, lavender and earthy minerals. Ripe tannins and an enhanced minerality give this wine a beautiful structure and finish. This is perfect with anything from the BBQ but can also be enjoyed with firm cheeses. 13.5%, Vegan and Organic methods.

Bodega Luigi Bosca Single Vineyard Malbec 2018

Coming from the Luján de Cuyo region of Mendoza where all of the grapes are hand-picked, the viticultural team apply biodynamic principles across the estate, though they do not hold certification. This Malbec is a deep and bright red violet wine with balanced aromas and red fruit and sweet spice. It is refreshing and voluptuous in the mouth, with fine and gentle tannins, while it is clean and expressive in the palate, with a strong character and a deep finish with soft smoked hues as a result of its ageing in oak barrels. It is a great exponent of the variety and the terroir and with good ageing potential. This is a cracking Malbec and can be enjoyed with most dishes coming off the BBQ. 14% and Vegan.

Cantine Torri 4 20 Montepulciano d`Abruzzo 2019

Cantine Torri is a small private estate of mature vines that is fully converted fully to organic wine production. With ripe, bramble fruit aromas, and layers of red fruits and wild herbs on the palate, fine tannins keep the palate in check. This is absolutely the perfect time to crack open the 2016 which has been patiently cellared for a few years and is lovely to drink. Enjoy with Mediterranean inspired foods. 13.5% and Organic, Vegan
