Domaine Jean Michel Dupre Beaujolais Villages 'Vignes de 1940' 2018

The most favourable vineyard sites produce `villages` wines, and the 10 named `Cru` villages of Beaujolais represent the best vineyards of the region and produce the longest-lived and fullest style of Beaujolais. This wine comes from the `Tour Bourdon` plot; an 11 acre vineyard with sandy soils and vines which were planted in 1940. Dark ruby in colour with notes of sweet blackcurrants on the nose. The palate has fresh black cherry and berries with a mineral character on the finish. A great Beaujolais and great value for money. Enjoy most with charcuterie or creamy, soft cheeses. 12% and Organic methods, Vegan.
