Castello Tricerchi

Castello Tricerchi extends over 400 hectares on the northern slopes of Montalcino. 13 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of Sangiovese Grosso, the vines which produce Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. The Castle of the Tricerchi family, completed in 1441, dominates the property and is now the home and headquarters of the Tricerchis’ direct ancestors, the Squarcia family.
The composition of our soil, containing limestone clay and sand, is rich and even. Our vines are almost exclusively north facing which allows for uniform ripening.
Our cultivation methods are based on organic principles and respect for the intimate relationship between man and nature.

Castello Tricerchi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2015

Castello Tricerchi uses only a tiny portion of their estate to cultivate Sangiovese Grosso, the vines which produce Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. The vines are almost exclusively north facing which allows for uniform ripening. The cultivation methods are based on organic principles and respect for the intimate relationship between man and nature. This Brunello is deep ruby red in colour and the nose is red cherry with a little spice and notes of tobacco. This leads to a warm and smooth wine with fine tannins and a full body. Complex, elegant and harmonious, this wine has a balanced and long finish and can do with being opened a couple of hours before enjoying with meats or ripe cheeses. 14% and Organic methods.
